Referrals, Fees and Rebates

Shannon's standard fee for a 50-minute Clinical Psychology session is $230. The Australian Psychological Society's (APS) 2024-2025 recommended rate is $318 per session.

With a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year.

Medicare rebate: $145.25 per session
Re-referral required after sessions 6 and 10 to continue receiving rebates.
No GP referral is needed if paying privately.

DVA Referrals

There is no out-of-pocket cost with a valid DVA referral.

Gold Card: Covers all conditions.
White Card: Covers only accepted mental health conditions.
Shannon will clarify your eligibility before your first session.

Private Health Referrals

Many private health funds also cover psychology services. Please check with your fund for details.
